Over the years, I have had to deal with many personal fears and feelings of anxiety, both in my own life and when reading for my clients. One of the best ways I have found to overcome those fears is with the RIA method:
- Recognize how you are feeling
- Identify what is causing you to feel that way
- Address the causes
This method is helpful because it helps you to analyze your fears and why you are feeling them. Are your fears factual or fictional? How likely are they to actually happen? Have they happened before? What can you do to prevent them from happening (again)? What can you do to overcome them?
And so on.
Fears and anxiety do not disappear overnight, of course. Some of them take a lot of deep spiritual work to overcome, but asking yourself these questions is a great start.
Sometimes it is difficult for us to get to the heart of the matter, even when we ask ourselves these questions, and that’s where tarot comes in. Tarot helps us to see clearer, gets us deep into the psyche, uncovers the truth that we may want to hide from, in order that we may begin to heal.
